HTC releases Dot View app to Google Play
Since releasing theHTC One (M8)the company has been on a bit of roll with releasing core services to Google Play. They have already announced the
now or coming up soon. The big question for many is what other devices, even from other manufacturers, will HTC make these apps available to run on. One app that probably won’t have any application outside of HTC devices is the software powering the Dot View cases introduced this week. Nevertheless, HTC is now making
HTC Dot View
available for install through Google Play.
HTC Dot View
app drives the external display that HTC has built into the flip cover of the same name. Going with a retro look, the display enables users to take calls, get email notifications, schedule reminders, get weather updates, and more without opening the cover to access the smartphone’s regular screen. For now at least, the cover and the app are only compatible with the HTC One (M8). Should HTC produce Dot View cases for other products in their portfolio the app may be useful for them as well.

&&&&此前，HTC的Dot&View和LG的Quick&Circle两款保护套应用使其品牌手机大放异彩，同样，Windows&Phone&8.1&GDR1的更新，也会支持Phone&Cover&App，也就是保护皮夹应用，相信此举会让Windows&Phone用户也感觉到了些许惊喜。WP8.1&GDR1更新保护皮夹app&操作更智能（图片引自wmpoweruser）&&&&日前，关于该功能更多的信息也相继曝出。其功能和使用方法与相类似，Windows&Phone&8.1设备可以判断保护套在什么时候使用。例如，将保护套关闭，OEM的Phone&Cover&App会进行启动，从而锁定显示屏中会显示这款应用；而当保护套打开时，Phone&Cover&App便会关闭，Windows&Phone&8.1设备或解锁，或出现输入密码的开始界面。其最后一项便是用户设置，用户可以通过设定，在打开保护套后，显示正常的锁屏操作界面。
