I write to you in regards to manuscript entitled &**************************& which you submitted to the International Journal of Food Science and Technology.The primary focus of the International Journal of Food Science and Technology is to publish research. While the editors do, at times, decide to process some Review Articles, this is not generally the case. Usually, Review Articles are only considered for publication where the subject strongly reflects the current interests of our readers or where a review has been invited.The interests of our readers are with to do the processing of foods and the changes which foods undergo during processing, storage or reconstitution. This often links to nutritional, flavour and compositional effects. Other factors include the use of natural alternatives or innovative technologies, for example nanotechnology. Digestibility and Bioavailability outcomes affected by processing are of course of great interest as is the use of new ingredients or processes.Unfortunately, the editors feel that this review does not sufficiently reflect any of the areas of greatest interest to our readers. The Editors feel that it would be more suitable for submission to a journal with a focus on biomedical science. For example, Planta Medica, which you cite in this manuscript. Generally Journals are more likely to process and accept manuscripts which clearly build upon the interests and published research of their own readers.We are making this rapid decision in order to allow you to submit your manuscript to a more appropriate Journal with the minimum delay.Thank you for considering the International Journal of Food Science and Technology for the publication of your research.
