understanding was as strong as possible, I worked a great number of problems from the text and this solution manual is
the result. This manual provides completely worked-out solutions to a huge number of problems from the text. The
solutions are described in great detail, presenting all of the intermediate steps so that as many people as possible can
follow each argument. This gives students a way to check their answers and ensure that they took the correct steps to
arrive at an answer.
This is a great way to develop strong skills in this very important area of mathematics.The book has almost 400 pages so one is guaranteed to find most of the problem solutions one is looking
for.The problems from this book were worked out of the seventh edition of the textbook.
I don't believe
there are significant differences between the different editions however.

有能力的同学应该读原版，免得翻译漏译了原文的诗意。此书很特别，没有对理论做太多的介绍和阐释，而是罗列了大量丰富的例子，有来自历史的问题（Pascal的赌徒分钱问题，Banach的火柴问题），有来自实际的问题（Bayes公式中的主观概率，美国的选举）。想想也对，概率论就是需要通过接触题目接触问题来理解概念，因为在计算上它并不复杂。（不像微积分，计算占很大一部分。） 这本第八版比第七版字体小了许多，习题的排版亦缺乏美感，看起来吃力。两个版本的差别不会太大（第八版增加了一节），价钱也一珐姬粹肯诔厩达询惮墨样。建议购买第七版，然后在书店读完第八版。
