SIGMA dp1 Quattro Firmware is now available to download.
The firmware is a program which runs inside the camera and controls its operation.
Who can download and update.
Customers using Sigma's dp1 Quattro
* It is not possible to use this firmware in the DP1, DP1s, DP1x, DP2, DP2s, DP2x, DP Merrill series, dp0 Quattro, dp2 Quattro, dp3 Quattro and SD series.
New camera firmware update now available for download.
o SIGMA dp1 Quattro Firmware Ver.1.03
This firmware update should be applied to any SIGMA dp1 Quattro camera that has firmware "Ver.1.02" or lower.
* If your camera already has firmware "Ver.1.03", you do not need this update.
Benefits of this firmware update
?It has improved the camera's AF speed.
?It is possible to select whether or not the AF function operates when the shutter button is half-pressed.
?It has become compatible with Eye-Fi related functions.
?It has improved the color tones in "Daylight" and "Flash" white balance modes.
?It has corrected the occasional phenomenon that the image is not saved properly when the image size is set to S-HI.
?It has changed the specification to use the AEL button to capture a Custom White Balance, instead of the Shutter button.
?It has increased the number of display modes from 2 to 4 so that more options are available on the display.
?It has changed the name of the [Display Mode Settings] menu to [|□| Mode Settings], and the name of the option from [Display Mode] to [Custom].
?It has changed the display information during Interval Timer shooting to indicate the maximum burst of shots even when the shooting information is set at "Off".
Note: If the firmware has been updated, please be sure to update the software to the latest version (SIGMA Photo Pro 6.3.0).

?It has improved the focusing speed and its precision in AF mode in low light conditions.
?It has added the function to record Photographer and Owner of Copyright details in Exif information, and to check them on Display. Copyright Information is displayed on Image Info Screen.
?It has added the function to set image aspect ratio 7:6.
?It has added the function to select Black or Semi-transparent for the frame, when shooting with aspect ratio other than 3:2.
?It has added the function to set minimum shooting intervals from 4 to 8 seconds when shooting with interval timer.
* The minimum shooting interval changes depending on the combination of image quality and size of image.
?It has added S-LO to the setting of number of record pixels (Image Size) for JPEG shooting.
?It has changed Focusing Range of Portrait to Approx. 0.33m ~ ∞ and Landscape / Snap shooting to Approx. 0.5m ~ ∞ in AF Limit Mode.
Note: If the firmware has been updated to Ver.1.02, please be sure to update it to the latest version (SIGMA Photo Pro 6.2.1).

Caution: If the camera firmware has been updated to Ver. 1.01, it is not possible to develop RAW files in other than SIGMA Photo Pro 6.1.0. Please be sure to update both of the camera firmware and the software to the latest version.
How to check the current firmware version
Turn on the camera.
Press the MENU button on the back of the camera to display the Camera Set-up Menu.
Select "Information" from the Set-up Menu.
Press the OK button again to display the firmware update window.
The installed firmware information is displayed.
If the version is "Ver.1.02" or lower, it is necessary to update to this new firmware version.
Caution (Firmware update)
If the camera is turned off during the update procedure, it might cause a malfunction and damage your camera.
To avoid causing a malfunction, please read the following carefully before updating the firmware.
o Please use a dedicated AC adapter or a fully charged battery.
o Do not open the BATTERY/CARD COVER or operate the camera during the firmware update.
o Do not turn off the camera during the firmware update.

?It has reduced the longitudinal noise that appears occasionally when changing each adjustment value in the image correction process substantially during the development of RAW files in SIGMA Photo Pro Ver.6.
Caution: If your firmware has been updated to Ver.1.01 or later, it is not possible to develop RAW files in SIGMA Photo Pro released before Ver.6.0.5. Please be sure to update it to SIGMA Photo Pro 6.0.5.
How to check the current firmware version
