惠安县，是福建省泉州市下辖的一个县，与晋江、南安，合称泉州三邑。惠安县位于福建省东南沿海，东北部介于泉州湾和湄洲湾之间，东临台湾海峡，地理坐标为北纬24&49&-25&15&，东经118&38&-119&05&。辖境东北连泉州湾，西接洛江区，北邻泉港区，南隔泉州湾与晋江市相望。总面积646.7平方公里，年末户籍人口953,805人（2009年），常住人口94.60万人（2009年）。人口以汉族为主，有回、畲、蒙古等民族。

惠安海岸有黄金海岸之称，全长192千米，占全省的6%。沿海港湾密布。斗尾港是大陆至台湾西海岸的最近港口之一，可供30万吨级巨轮自由出入，是规划建设中的全国四大中转港口之一。崇武港是国家中心渔港，半月湾、青山湾等竞秀争艳，崇武海岸则被国家地理杂志评选为&中国最美的八大海岸&之一。
惠安为极具实力的县市，其综合竞争力位居福建省第三位，2010年位居全国百强县（市）第廿九位。2009年，惠安县GDP总量344.52亿元（折合50.43亿美元），人均GDP为36,573元（合5,354美元）[2]。

惠安石雕(9张)
（981年）析晋江县东乡十六里置惠安县，取&以惠安民&之义称惠安。首任知县崔知节。相传初置县时，陈震卜地在螺山之南建县治，迁五代时灵安王张悃之坟于县东南的青山，螺山负邑，又城形如&螺狮吐肉&，故县城称螺城，简称&螺&。置县时，设崇武、崇善、城山3个乡，下辖太康、守节、礼兴、民安、平康、归化、祥符、尊贤、崇德、民苏等16个里，共66个铺 。
庆历八年（1048年）改为18个里，仍以3个乡管辖。元代元贞（年）年间，改为文质、行满、忠恕、信义4个乡，仍辖18个里（其中文质乡4个里、行满乡5个里、忠恕乡4个里、信义乡5个里）；下辖35都，合城区在坊共36都。明沿元制。至嘉靖（年）年间因倭寇劫掠和兵、疫连年，户口减耗，有些都随宜合并，缩减为30个都（含在坊），下辖80图；每图10甲。清初&迁界&，濒海居民移入内地，东南地区的图、甲十减六七。康熙二年（1663年）改里为铺，全县设68铺（其中县治内8铺）。<sup style="position: padding-bottom: 0 padding-left: 2 padding-right: 2 white-space: color: rgb(51,102,204); margin-left: 2 vertical-align: ba cursor: padding-top: 0 top: -0.5em">[2]&

民国初废&府&设&道&，惠安县隶属厦门道。民国16年（1927年）废&道&，实行省、县二级地方政制，各县公署改为县政府，惠安县直隶福建省政府。
民国22年（1933年），十九路军在福建成立&中华共和国人民革命政府&，将福建划为4省，惠安县隶属&兴泉省&；同年 &闽变&失败后，南安县仍直属福建省政府，属第五行政督察区（区署在同安）。
民国23年（1935年）改属第四行政督察区（区署在同安，1938年移永春，1943年移泉州）。
日惠安县解放，9月5日惠安县人民政府成立，隶属于福建省人民政府第五行政督察专员公署；
